Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the 2006 U.S. Women’s Amateur. We hope you share in the excitement of this pinnacle event and invite you to become a part of history by volunteering your time. The enthusiasm, dedication and support of our volunteers will be critical in making this Championship a success! Volunteers provide many important services: marshaling, scoring, registering players and several other areas that are vital to the championship. Our biggest volunteer need will be for marshals and walking scorers from Monday – Wednesday during championship week. The U.S. Women’s Amateur could not be conducted without the help of over 300 volunteers.
Following is a volunteer application along with descriptions for each committee. Please submit the application at your earliest convenience. All volunteers will be assigned to one of thirteen committees and will be asked to work at least three shifts. Shifts will generally last four to six hours. Please be sure to list four committees you would like to join. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your committee selection; however, we will do our best to ensure that you have a great experience.
All volunteers will be required to purchase a volunteer uniform which consists of one red Nike Polo, one red Nike windshirt and your choice of a Nike hat or visor. Women may wear their own khaki pants, skirts or shorts of appropriate length. Men are encouraged to wear their own khaki pants, but if it is extremely hot, they may wear khaki shorts of appropriate length. The price of the volunteer uniform is $60 and includes food and beverage for each shift worked.
Interested volunteers may submit their application online with Credit Card payment or mail the completed application to the Championship Office with a check made payable to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. The Championship Office will notify you upon receipt of the application. If you have any questions, please contact Jenn Jeffcott at 503.647.2513.
