VOLUNTEER APPLICATION



Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. Please complete the following information. All volunteers will be required to purchase the volunteer package for $60. As part of the volunteer package, you will receive the volunteer uniform and a credential valid for all seven days of the Championship. The volunteer uniform will consist of one golf shirt, a windshirt and a har or visor.

II. UNIFORM INFORMATION
Please select the appropriate sizes below. The hat and visors are one size fits all. Women may wear their own khaki pants, skirts, or shorts of appropriate length. Men are encouraged to wear their own khaki pants, but if it is extremely hot, khaki shorts of appropriate length may be worn.

III. COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
Caddie Hospitality * Assist with registration of caddies and distribution of supplies
Course Evacuation + In the event of foul weather resulting in a suspension of play, volunteers evacuate players, caddies and rules officials to designated locations
Hospitality ^ Assist with general player hospitality in locker room
Marshals/Forecaddies Facilitate player and fan movement on the golf course, and help locate errant shots
Practice Facilities Assist players on driving range and practice areas
Registration Register contestants upon their arrival (Friday 8/4 and Saturday 8/5)
Scoreboard Volunteer Assist the official USGA scorer at the Championship Scoreboard
Security Limit access to clubhouse, locker room and media center
Transportation + Provide transportation for players, staff and guests to and from off site locations to the Championship in courtesy vans
Volunteer Services Staff the volunteer hospitality area and provide information to all volunteers
Walking Scorer ~ Accompany each group and enter hole-by-hole scores into a hand-held device
* Volunteers on this committee will not serve as caddies during the Championship.

V. SHIFT PREFERENCES
Each volunteer is requested to work at least three shifts. The following information does not commit you but gives us your tentative availability for shift coverage. Shifts will be approximately four to six hours in length. To facilite scheduling, please select all shifts for which you are available.
